Psychotherapy is an important part of self-care and mental wellness for several reasons:
It can provide support and guidance for individuals experiencing complex challenges.
It can help people understand their underlying thoughts and emotions to better manage stress, release tension, and increase mental and physical balance.
Psychotherapy can expand one’s view so that one can meet life with more choices and flexibility of responses.

Certain types of psychotherapy, like Maïeusthesia, can help you with anxiety or depression by:
Helping you understand why you feel anxious or depressed.
Guiding you—through questions—to discover what your subconscious wants you to hear.
Bringing this information to your consciousness and helping to diminish or release the symptoms.
-
There is a lot of stigma surrounding mental health and psychotherapy.
Unfortunately, Western society often views people as either normal or crazy. However, seeking help with your mental health doesn't mean you’re crazy, not in the slightest. It makes you brave and shows that you understand the importance of managing your mental and physical health.
Many people seek counseling or therapy at some point in their lives for various reasons. It allows them the time and space to reflect and make changes in their lives.

There are many reasons that online therapy is effective.
Online therapy can be effective in creating trusting and intimate relationships.
The lack of physical contact in online therapy can be helpful for personal reflection.
Online therapy is flexible and convenient, making it easy for those with busy schedules or those that live in remote areas to access it.
Online therapy provides anonymity and privacy, making it easier to discuss sensitive topics.
-
Confidentiality and non-judgment are essential to building trust in psychotherapy.
The therapist and client work collaboratively to explore and address issues.
Sharing sensitive information is only possible if the client feels comfortable and safe.
Psychotherapy provides a safe and supportive space for exploring thoughts and feelings.
Psychotherapy is a positive and empowering experience that promotes growth and healing.

Most of my sessions last around 1.5 hours. Some people only need one hour, while others can extend it to two—depending on the client's wants and needs, it's different for everyone.
In my experience, time passes by quickly when we are busy with our psyche! It's like diving deep down and coming back up,

Maieusthesia psychotherapy is a type of short-term therapy. The number of sessions can vary from 1 to 10. The client decides whether they need or want to continue with sessions. I am here to propose the space and time needed. We usually leave two weeks between sessions to allow time to reflect and see what comes next to consciousness. Again, this is a general indication! At times, I’ve had people whose sessions continued over a year. Others had long and intensive sessions that lasted a day! The choice is yours.

No problem. If a Zoom session fails, we can hold therapy sessions over the phone (which is how I started 25 years ago), or through Whatsapp/Messenger/FaceTime on your cellphone!

Yes. I offer a 30-minute free consultation. This initial consultation helps clarify your needs, gives you more information about the type of work I do, and, of course, allows us to get to know each other better.
After the initial consultation, we can decide if we're a good match.
